Book the dinner or the activity that interests you most, then keep the other moments freer. You will avoid turning the weekend into a series of times to keep to.
If you want to enjoy a show or a festive event, check the sessions before fixing the meal. Two bookings close together can create more constraints than pleasure.

Choose a few streets, Place Saint-Epvre and a passage towards the Place de la Carrière. Then come back towards Place Stanislas if you want a change of atmosphere.
Alternate outings and breaks. A short walk followed by a coffee can be more pleasant than too long a programme in the cold.
Give priority to what really matters to you: cuisine, atmosphere, budget and timing. Ask whether the menu is the usual one or whether there is a holiday set menu on your date.
For a special meal, confirm the booking conditions and flag any dietary needs. The idea is not to find "the best" restaurant for everyone, but a table that fits your stay.
Check the access arrangements for the accommodation and, if possible, avoid booking your dinner right after the train's scheduled arrival. A margin lets you start the weekend more calmly.
For the apartment, look at the advertised amenities and the exact surroundings. A mood image does not replace the photographs of the accommodation.
