Patron saint of Lorraine, Saint-Nicolas is celebrated at the start of every December: a sumptuous night-time procession — floats, brass bands and the float of Saint-Nicolas — winds its way to Place Stanislas, followed by a sound & light show projected onto the façades. The villages and hamlets, meanwhile, run from late November to early January.
