Ephemeral Garden tours: the events to go deeper

A first self-guided walk lets you discover the shapes and the atmospheres. A guided tour brings another reading: the choice of plants, the garden's intentions or connections with the artworks. To prepare your stay, first choose the format that interests you.

Information checked on 21/10/2026 — 2026 edition, to be reviewed each year (dates & programmes vary).

Discovery walks with the designers

At the time this article was prepared, the municipal programme still announces two events on 21 and 27 October 2026 at 11 a.m. They are presented as free and without booking, starting in front of the main door of the Town Hall.

This format suits those who want to understand the garden's design better. Check the organiser's information before you set out, especially in case of any change.

25 October: a route between garden and museum

Composition created with amber and green vases, a fern and botanical drawings.

The City's listing announces a two-voice tour on Sunday 25 October from 3 p.m. to 4.30 p.m., intended for adults. It starts from the garden and continues at the museum around the "Vivaces" exhibition.

The meeting point is given in front of the Town Hall, free and without booking, subject to available places. The PDF programme uses a different exhibition title: for this outing, refer to the updated schedule listing.

28 October: a discovery around Gallé

The museum presents another two-voice tour on Wednesday 28 October from 11 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. The route links the garden to "L'étrange cas de Monsieur Gallé".

The listing gives a meeting point in front of the Town Hall, for adults, free and without booking, subject to available places. Do not confuse it with free museum entry at any time.

29 October: a dramatised tour

"Le Grand 8" stages a meeting between Henriette Gallé and the horticulturist Victor Lemoine. The next slot announced after this guide was prepared is 29 October, from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The programme presents this format as free with registration. Contact the tourist office to book and check availability. A slot being announced does not guarantee a remaining place.

Choosing a single fixed-time outing

Leave some space before and after the appointment for a break, a meal or the journey. With children, ask about how the format is adapted and which language it is in before booking.

The dates in this article relate to the 2026 edition. They must be updated or archived after the events.
